If you didn’t make it to the 711 Gallery opening, then you need to stop slacking. The gallery is three floors, has a winding staircase, skylights, and 20 foot (maybe more, I forgot to measure) ceilings. The openings may be crowded and sweaty, but it’s okay, there are plenty of beautiful art pieces, hot girls, and drinks to make up for moist armpits.
Their second show will feature artists who deal with the beauty and/or destruction of nature and the rise of the man made world. Their goal is to “emphasize the ironic contrast between man’s dependence on and simultaneous obliteration of earth’s resources.”
The show, opening July 24th from 7-10, will include mixed-media work by six young New York City based artists: Sebastian Bear-McClard, Nick Cohen, Barney Kulok, Nick Poe, Gordon Stevenson and Robert S.L. Waltzer. The show will run for three weeks.
Location:

Saw the show and I tell you the up & coming young artist I loved was Francesco Galetto - his chair was great!
