Brooklyn resident, art director, designer, and illustrator Chad Pugh uses the new Portishead album and Adobe Illustrator to create a tech nerd’s wet dream.
Vimeo, a website which enables users to “connect through video” commissioned Pugh to create the piece as their login illustration. This video is a truncated version of what was 40 hours of work to create the completed image. Screenshots were taken ever 5 seconds which over several months came together 18 hours of film. This is the 7 minute version. The time lapse is insane! You are able to watch the behind the scenes process of graphic design, and see how it all comes together piece by piece.
A print of the finished product can be purchased in 21″x13″ as a large print. In reality the it was created in illustrator, ergo its is a vector and its sizing possibilities are limitless!
Check it out the video (its worth the 7 minutes!)
