If you are reading this post, you probably spend hours a day staring at a computer screen. You are probably also 20-something, in pretty good shape, active, and care about your well-being. Like myself, I also work long hours, at the office, home, or wherever myself and my laptop are. I have recently decided to take more interest in creating a better work environment at my apartment, as I spend so many hours on the computer.
The first step is purchasing a chair that won’t make my back sore, legs tight, energy level feeling lethargic, and posture ending up slumped over almost laying on the computer.
Herman Miller’s Aeron chair, designed in 1994 by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf, has a permanent place in the Museum of Modern Art’s collection. It is synonymous with the late 90s internet craze, and part of the reason I find it so funny.
With a price tag coming in at just under $1000.00 USD, it may seem a bit opulent for just a chair. I have found that spending a bit more on quality work items goes a long way. Instead of buying that watch you buy the laptop. And you don’t buy the Dell laptop, you buy the Macbook Pro with the necessary hardware because it is worth it. A Canon 5D is expensive compared to entry level digital cameras, yet will earn the money spent on it back multiple times over if treated right.
This chair may not earn you money per se, but it will keep you non-fatigued, limber, and better able to focus on your work.

Such a great chair, I would love to have my boss buy me one. When he looks at the price he just laughs at me.
