Dan Wirtz is primarly known for his street paintings. Rather than spray painting walls, he paints various highly detailed imagery on walls around New York City. His most recent project features hands trying to escape from vents on the sides of various buildings in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

While he’s not the first person to do graffiti / street art with a brush, he certainly has some of the most eye catching work. What would you do if you saw someone trying to escape from the basement of a building as you passed?
