AAA (A nti A dvertising A gency) has created a new add on for Firefox entitled ‘AddArt‘. This interesting add-on replaces advertising on websites with curated art images. The art shows are updated every two weeks and feature contemporary artists and curators.
Many people already have plugins that replace ads with blank space. “AddArt attempts to do something more interesting than just blocking ads - it turns your browser into an art gallery. Every time you visit the New York Times online or check the weather you’ll also see a spattering of images by a young contemporary artist.”

If you’ve never installed a Firefox add on / plugin, it’s pretty easy. All you have to do is have the Firefox browser and click one button to install it. Learn more about Add-Art or install it now. You can view instructions here.
Steve Lambert has released a walk through video on Add-Art. You can watch it below.

Hey - glad you like Add-Art! I’m one of the devs on the project. I’d like to extend an invitation to anyone who likes the plugin and is handy with firefox development to get in touch with us.
FF3rc1 is currently breaking Add-Art, and we need all the help we can get making sure it gets fixed.
Thanks, and enjoy your prettier internet!
