Mike Rea has created a prototype mecha-suit of armor called the “A Prosthetic Suit For Stephen Hawking w/ Japanese Steel”. It’s composed of wood, rope, and pink foam and shows off the artists exceptional wood making skills, as well as his twisted sense of humor. Regardless of the bad joke, I can see Stephen Hawking in a giant robotic suit and pincer claw, walking around and talking about black holes, singularities, and other wonders of the universe.
Checkout more of the artist’s work on his website. You’ll find everything from a space suit to a four piece band constructed entirely from wood.
