Next Wednesday, the 28th, from 7 to 11pm, there will be a pretty amazing event. Held at the 10,000sq ft historic former space of the Dia Gallery (548 West 22nd Street) in Chelsea, 25 emerging photographers from around the country will showcase their best work; the photos they felt most represented who they are, and what they artistically represent. We also got Shepard Fairey, Jean Pagliuso, and Kai Regan to donate work of their own. Blackbook Magazine is hosting the whole event, and we lined up some devoted and generous sponsors.

The event is for a good cause too. All of the proceeds from the silent auctioning of the work will go the Make It Right Foundation; benefiting the 9th ward district of New Orleans. They are doing really dope work and raising a ton of attention and money.
