We’ve all used Google Maps at some point in our lives for directions, street view, or to take a look at a famous landmark. Sometimes when your browsing the Earth, you run across a landscape that is simply jaw dropping.
The four images below were taken on May 19th, 2008. They were not altered in anyway after taking screenshots, they are exactly as they appear online.
I’m not quite sure what any of them are, other than they look extremely toxic and unnatural. I’m thinking that they’re maybe chemical plants, salt refineries, mines? Who knew the demise of our planet could be so beautiful.
If you have anyone has incite as to what they are, please comment below.
1. Toxic water
2. Pixel Earth
3. God’s makeup kit
4. The Toxic Avenger’s Backyard

this is beautifully frightning
Number 1 and 4 are salt evaporation ponds in the South Bay, near San Jose. I could probably say the same about the other two.
Why would ’salt evaporation ponds’ be a any color other than white?
